Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist DEAN Z

Dean Z has dedicated his entire life to honoring the legacy of Elvis Aaron Presley, the “King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” From his early days growing up in the high desert of Lancaster, California, to stages across the globe, he has shown time and again, he is one of the best the business today. That was proven in August 2013 as Dean was named the 2013 Ultimate Elvis® Tribute Artist™ in Memphis during “Elvis Week” in a contest sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.

When Dean was 3, the documentary “This Is Elvis” was being broadcast on television. He immediately cleared the coffee table, jumped on top of it and started trying to imitate Presley’s every move. Not long after, Dean’s mother made his first Elvis jump suit, and he was on his way.

As soon as Dean takes the stage, the stakes are automatically raised. Any preconceived notions are quickly dispatched as Dean takes the form of “The Rockabilly Cat” and never lets up. The young, smooth, grinning rebel Elvis with shiny black hair that is the envy of every man who may ever lay eyes on it comes alive in front of your very eyes.

2013 South Carolina Elvis Festival Champion TED TORRES

Ted Torres is a singer, songwriter and musician from Orlando, Florida. Growing up in a family with two professional musicians as parents influenced Ted a great deal to choose this path. He started learning how to play different instruments which included: guitar, bass, classical violin, and piano.

Ted was greatly inspired by a mix of all types of different music including old country like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and fifties acts such as Ricky Nelson, The Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. He was especially influenced by Elvis Presley.

Ted can’t think of anything else he would rather do. The important thing for Ted is that the music really touches people where he feels it matters most, on a soulful level the same way he believes Elvis felt. From the first time Ted saw “Jailhouse Rock” at the age of 12, he knew he was going to be a fan for life.

One of his goals is to win the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. Early this year Travis took a big step towards this goal when he qualified for the 2013 contest by winning Legend’s in Concerts contest in Myrtle Beach, SC. He further demonstrated his abilities by following this with a win at the Lake George Elvis Festival.
